2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR debuts in Sebring
The 2012 Porche 911 GT3 RSR has made its debut at the pre-race test for the Twelve Hours of Sebring.
Three customer teams ran the models in the opening test. Flying Lizard Motorsports, Paul Miller Racing, and Team Falken Tire First ran the race cars in the plain livery but we should see something a little more aesthetically pleasing when the race kicks off.
The 2012 Porsche RSR features a 4.0 liter, six-cylinder boxer engine that develops 460 PS ( 338 kW / 454 hp ) coupled with a six-speed sequential gearbox operated by paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
Following the 12 hours of Sebring race, the four 911 RSRs will compete in the Le Mans series. It could also be entered into further races such as the Le Mans 24 Hours and the FIA World Endurance Championship.
